Hi there! I'm a journalist and multimedia professional currently based in Queens, NYC. I am in many ways a "third culture kid," originally hailing from Manila (Philippines),  then spent five formative years living in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), before moving to NYC at thirteen. Another fun fact about me is that I went to a somewhat famous performing arts high school where I studied Theatre and Visual Art very seriously. It is here where I rooted my passion for storytelling and the arts.

While I have had to take breaks in college due to caretaking for a family member and financial setbacks, I always found creative ways to keep learning. I'm happy to be finally back for my Senior Year at The New School this upcoming Fall 2026, and expected to graduate in May 2027!

There is nothing I love and care about more than sharing community stories, lifting underrepresented voices, and building community. Whether it’s through social media videos, design, or data storytelling, I thrive when I’m problem-solving and making complex stories accessible and impactful.

In my free time, you’ll find me working on my food blog Franchette’s Fork, or coaching students of all ages as a figure skating instructor in Queens—a sport I started back in the Philippines when I was three-years-old, and also performed on-ice in a theme park back in Saudi Arabia. I am so grateful to have lived so many lives in very different countries, and always love connecting with people from all walks of life.
